Hunter's Marketing In The News Blog

Whats worst then a creepy smile! A boring advertisement this is how the marketing team of the movie smile got everyones attention.  I was really intrested in this because i remember seeing this. It was really creepy and took my attention away from the baseball game the whole time.  It deffeintly had me thinking and wondering what was going on.  These actors would appear smiling into the camera on mainstream sports events or even them staring outside of building widows along time square New York.  In the article it states that the "Marketing campaign recently took a innovative not to metion, creepy approch promoting the new thriller film." I love the word innovative, there's no better way to explain this way of marketing.   They really started a trend her too because we've now seen squid games marketing team doing the same thing in public. "On October 12, ominous grinning actors stared at people through windows above the busy streets of Time Square. Viral videos and pictures of the statuesque actors in neon SMILE shirts spread across social media".  Just like Seth Godin said "Ideas that spread, Win."  Seth also quoted, "Stop advertising and start inovating."  This is exactly what smiles marketing team did.  They knew it would go viral and get there idea to spread.  Theres no way to discribe inovating then the creativity from the smile adversiments.

Value Proprosition
The value proprosition is very intresting because its almost a scary/ creepy aprouch but it also doesn't scare the audiance but intrigues them.  It will deffinetly keep the audiance wondering throughout the day on that experiance which is what you want.  When they eventually watch the movie they will feel more conected with the movie because they had an experiacne of thier own.

Compition
They don't have much compition, the only incovenice is other

movies are trying this same marteking strategy which doesn't really hurt smile 2's sales but it can draw attention away.

Unique
The best part about this is the uniqueness beacuse they are the first people to advertise like this and it caught the whole words attention.  Another strategy they used was using "Stickers of smiling actors have also been placed strategically on car and bus windows to create and illusion of them riding in the backseat."

Critique
This was a great marketing technique and i wouldn't change a single thing.  In my opinion this was the greatest marketing i've ever seen.  I don't have much to say, im just amazed!
